PES University was established as a private university by PES University Act, 2012 (Karnataka Act 16 of 2013) in 2013, to establish and incorporate in the State of Karnataka a university of unitary nature in the private sector to promote and undertake the advancement of university education in Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, Arts, Social Science, Computer Applications, Humanities and Management. People's Education Society University (PESU) is a private university in Bengaluru, India. Established in 1988, it is focused on the following educational areas: Engineering, Management, Law, Economics, Commerce, Architecture, Design, Psychology, Arts, Medicine and Life Sciences. The institution offers both foundation courses in these areas, as well as specializations, with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree.The college was established as PES University in 2013, as a private university. There are three campuses under PES University in Bangalore: Ring Road Campus located at Banashankari 3rd stage outer ring road Bangalore, Electronic City Campus located at Electronic City hosur road Bangalore, and Hanmumanth Nagar Campus located at Banashankari 1st stage Bangalore. PES was born as the People’s Education Society in 1965, to provide education to underprivileged children. We have grown into one of India’s leading universities, but our values of Perseverance, Excellence and Service, remain unchanged. In 1965, Professor MR Doreswamy built a school for the children of Thyagarajanagar, Bengaluru. The school began with 40 children. Our dedicated faculty combines stellar academic credentials with deep experience in nurturing and developing students to realise their full potential. In today’s relentlessly knowledge-driven world, teaching is also about learning. The PES culture of continuous improvement impacts teachers as much as it does students. We ensure we are responsive to faculty needs and constantly find ways to address and provide direction for future teaching and learning innovations. Our teachers are constantly given opportunities and platforms to update their skills and stay in touch with new developments. The core faculty is enhanced by visiting experts, from both academic and corporate life. Faculty involvement at PES goes far beyond academics and influences every aspect of campus life. In addition to their teaching duties, faculty members guide and mentor students, participating with enthusiasm in their academic, research and sports / cultural pursuits. This atmosphere of inspired teaching and engaged learning fosters close bonds between the faculty and student community.
